Education is one of the basic programs of the New Horizons Foundation for both adults and children, as the Foundation seeks to provide people with a decent life in terms of education, health, and living conditions.
The New Horizons Foundation has paid attention to street children and children in detention centers by integrating them into the education system and the formal labor market.
Our program focuses on:
Literacy classes and out-of-school activities
Developing the learning environment
Establishing multi-grade community schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education
Literacy
New Horizon Association is committed to adult education and literacy, ensuring that adults have the necessary skills to claim their rights and live dignified lives. NHASD has opened literacy classes that have helped hundreds of individuals become literate and equipped them with the skills to secure fair job opportunities, contributing to their economic and social well-being.
Developing Learning Environments
New Horizon Association prioritizes creating safe learning environments that provide students with opportunities to enjoy learning, express creativity, and engage in innovative, non-traditional learning experiences. In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, NHASD has improved the infrastructure of certain public schools in various regions. This ensures a clean, developed environment that aligns with children’s rights to a dignified life.
Community Schools
New Horizon Association has focused on providing educational services in remote areas deprived of education by establishing community schools. These schools play a pivotal role in Egyptian society by helping to eliminate the problem of children dropping out of school. This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, ensuring that children in underserved areas have access to quality education.
