We set a goal that seeks to build young men and women who are able to join the labor market and have the professional and personal capabilities to obtain decent job opportunities.
The program provides job opportunities for marginalized groups of youth, women and girls, as well as female breadwinners, through:
Supporting small projects.
Preparing young people for the labor market for self-employment.
Preparing young people for the labor market to find job opportunities for others.
Providing opportunities for small farmers to work in participatory agriculture.
Employment and Youth Preparation for the Labor Market
New Horizon Association creates job opportunities for youth, both male and female, to improve their social and economic conditions by integrating them into the labor market. NHASD facilitates access to job opportunities by building the professional and technical capacities of youth and women in alignment with labor market demands and the nature of their communities, ensuring they are well-prepared to join the workforce.
Employment and Youth Preparation Projects
- Greenhouse Projects: Training youth to install and maintain greenhouses and protected agriculture to provide job opportunities in this field, given the agricultural nature of the New Valley.
- Organic Compost Production Projects: Training youth in producing organic fertilizers (compost) from agricultural and animal waste management, using compost for farming, and selling it in the New Valley.
- Installation and Maintenance of Modern Irrigation Systems Projects: Training youth in the installation and maintenance of modern irrigation systems to provide job opportunities in this field, which is crucial given the agricultural nature of the New Valley.
- Cooperative Agriculture Projects: NHASD provides small farmers with plots of land (5 acres each), equipped with irrigation systems, to grow suitable crops. The farmers benefit from two-thirds of the yield, while NHASD receives one-third.
- Craft Projects – Arabesque from Palm Fronds: Training youth to recycle palm fronds and use them in the creation of traditional Arabesque art.
- Gold Crafting Projects: Training youth in gold crafting through a partnership with Egypt Gold, providing both training and employment opportunities at the factory.
